Our last Yellowstone day: Tower Fall, a hot dog argument, a driver who would not wait for a bison in Lamar Valley, the Roosevelt Arch in the rain, and Mammoth Hot Springs.
We left the RV outside the park, paid almost $300 for a cabin at Canyon, crossed West Thumb, Mud Volcano and Hayden Valley in one day, and hiked to the brink of the Lower Falls.
1,833 miles, a golf course overnight with a truck alarm at 2 a.m., the west entrance before 8, and the geyser we drove two hours to see and then missed by minutes.
