Badlands National Park

We drove almost 600 miles from Des Moines in one day to get here, in 104 degree heat with no reservation waiting, and ended up on a free boondocking spot on the rim near Wall. That travel day is the first video.
The second is a 105 degree heat advisory with nothing but solar and batteries for power. We kept the rig shut all day, came back to a full bank, and ran the air conditioning off it. In between we ate a bison Indian taco at the only restaurant in the park and drank the free ice water at Wall Drug. The third is the Notch Trail, with its ladder, and a storm that beat us back to the rig.
Where we parked, and how to get in, is on our Badlands Boondocking Area page.
